Business owners learn of peril of 'putting off' decisions about their pension
At a recent seminar held by local financial services firm Hooper Dolan Financial, Waterford Business Owners learned of the mistake of 'putting off' decisions about their
pension and of the opportunities available to them to create tax efficient wealth through pension funding.
Irish male life expectancy has increased to 75 years, with female life expectancy peaking at 80 years. Seminar attendees were asked to think about how they would fund their lifestyle for the 15 or 20 years following their retirement at 60 years?
More
"We are all living longer and want our quality of life to be enhanced, or at least maintained, following retirement. Personal pension planning is an extremely tax efficient way for those who own their own businesses to fund their retirement. However, frequently we put off the decision to get our pension organised and are only prompted to do so by some trigger in life, like a change in circumstances" said John O'Byrne, Director, Hooper Dolan Financial, and keynote speaker at the seminar.
"This seminar was about outlining the benefits of being proactive about your pension and realising the opportunities available to make better use of your business' earning power" continued John.
The recent Wealth Creation seminar was the first in a series of invitation based Financial Planning seminars planned by Hooper Dolan Financial for the local Waterford business community.
